Opa de volgelvanger

Z'n oude hobbie, varkensvangen, gaat niet meer zo goed in verband met z'n knie. Hier heeft'ie een mooie red-throated rufus te pakken. Zo zie je, zo moeilijk is het niet om die dingen te fotograferen, met Ad in de buurt. Beter 1 vogel in de hand dan tien in de lucht!

Translation: Opa Ad rescued a hummingbird from the living room. The little guy was confused because of the freshly cleaned windows (also courtesy of Opa Ad), so clean you just can't see them!

Opa en Oma in de keuken

Opa's soup is legendary: tasty and voluminous. This trip Opa broke the Olympic record for number of portions in one batch; the freezer has turned into a Soup Coup! It's a lovely sight to see, and we'll enjoy it for the rest of the year for sure.

Vincent helps Oma bake cookies. He is especially good at licking the mixing blades clean

Julia is much more lady-like; she patiently waits for the cookies to be ready

Opa can handle it: 2 kids, 2 books, 2 languages - no problem!

Wednesday = trashday. Opa & Oma take care of it, and the flowers at the end of the driveway too.
