After much anticipation and increased impatience of the support troops Sofia was born in the early morning of August 1^st.

Here is the very first picture of Sofia, just after delivery.

All through her stay in the womb we knew she was an active little buggar - you could see her acrobatic maneuvers from across the room! What we didn't know is that she had managed to tie a knot in the umbilical cord.

The day after the babyholders came over: Oma Elly, cousin Chris and Opa Ad, who also brought a lovely bottle of champagne

Cousin Nelleke helping Vincent with his 'beschuit met muisjes', a Dutch traditional treat for these occasions dating back to the 17^th century.
